David Whitlow serves as Director of IT Special Projects at PMMC, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure modernization, and operational efficiency. With more than 30 years of experience spanning healthcare technology, enterprise IT, and information security, David helps ensure PMMC’s technology environment remains secure and scalable. His expertise in balancing technology, risk management, and operational performance enables PMMC to support continued growth while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability.
David’s technology career began in the United States Air Force, where he served as a LAN Administrator and Electronics Specialist supporting mission-critical systems. Over the course of his career, he has held progressive leadership roles in infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and network operations. Since joining PMMC, David has led numerous initiatives that have strengthened the organization’s security posture and technology infrastructure, including multi-factor authentication implementation, enterprise encryption standards, disaster recovery planning, SQL high-availability solutions, and infrastructure modernization efforts. He also played a key role in helping PMMC achieve and maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance while overseeing HIPAA compliance and enterprise security operations.
David holds an Associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force, as well as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certifications. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through ISC2 and actively participates in regional technology and cybersecurity communities. Outside of work, David enjoys riding motorcycles, woodworking, and snow skiing.
